Fishing
Experience the best in Trout fishing at the nearby Lochs. The Clachan Inn has rights to fish a local Loch in association with Case Sports, details on request.
The river Ken runs behind the Inn and offers unrivalled coarse and fly-fishing. Day tickets can be purchased from the local shop opposite The Clachan. Rods and tackle can be secured in the Inn and drying room facilities available for waders and boots.

Shooting
Minutes away from the pub you can access some of the most sort after shooting grounds, whether it be clay pigeon shooting or guided dear stalking. We can put you in touch with the right people to make sure that you have a great experience.
We are unrivalled for location, being the closest establishment to the renowned Forrest Estate and other highly sort after stalking grounds in the region. We have gun safes in every room and access to the ‘Stalker’s Chiller’.

Cycling
Dalry is a favoured route for the Tour Of Britain with the area boasting some outstanding cycling opportunities that would suit both leisure and sport cyclists alike. Bikes can be kept securely in the bothy overnight. The roads around the Glenkens region offers some good climbs, brilliant scenery and many good varying distance cycling loops on the door step. For the off road biker there is the renowned ‘7 Stains’ offering world class off road cycling for various different abilities.

Walking
Situated adjacent to The Southern Upland Way and a short distance from the Galloway Dark Sky forest, there are abundant opportunities to explore the area on foot. Drying room facilities are available, at the end of the day, should the weather have turned inclement. Walking from the Clachan is ideal, leaving the car and taking many various circular routes, rambling through the unspoiled Galloway land.
