Directions

We are located at the heart of the Glenkens in the picturesque village of St Johns town of Dalry.  Walkers will appreciate just how close we sit to the Southern Upland Way, giving welcome respite to your expedition.  Enjoy the comforts of the open fire in our bar and hearty seasonal menu while planning your next leg.


From the North & Central Scotland
The main route from the north is via the A713 from Ayr heading south following signs of Castle Douglas.  St Johns town of Dalry sits aprox 40 miles south of Ayr and 15 miles north of Castle Douglas.

From the South
Follow the A75 west bound until you are level with Castle Douglas.  Take roads sign posted A713 tourist route to Ayr,  follow the A713 for approx. 5 miles up past loch Ken to St John Town of Dalry.

From Stranraer and the Irish ferrys
Drive east bound of the A75 to Newton Stewart, Follow sign for the A712 that leads you through the stunning Wild goat park, taking into Dark sky country with some big views!

From New Galloway take the A713 north to St Johns Town of Dalry.
